The Yamaha Junior Music Course (JMC) (beginners ages 4—6½) provides a comprehensive musical foundation in a fun, nurturing, and social environment. Through singing and playing the keyboard, students learn to hear, feel, and sensitively express the elements of music. In JMC, a parent attends class to help support and encourage their child.
Classes meet once a week for 50 minutes. Semesters begin in September and February, and follow the local school district calendar. Tuition is $25/class, plus the cost of materials. There are no registration fees or contracts. Discounts are available for referrals, siblings, and multiple classes.
Young Musicians Course

Songbird Singers

Songbird Singers (ages 8—12) enjoy learning together in small groups how to sing with ease in a way appropriate for their age and voice. They learn to harmonize and sing expressively through various repertoires, both as soloists and ensemble members.

For beginners under the age of 12, we recommend starting with one of our comprehensive group courses. These are the most effective and enjoyable ways to explore music and establish the strong foundation needed to advance in private lessons. For older beginners or students with significant previous experience, we offer weekly private lessons.
